The Maruti Suzuki Swift is the second most popular hatchback in India. About 18000 units of the Swift are sold every month on an average. The car launched in 2005 has got a latest facelift in October 2014. This city car is so popular that the total sales figure has crossed the 1 million mark in 2013 itself.

The Maruti Swift comes in 5 petrol and 4 diesel variants priced Rupees 4.65 to 7.29 lakh. The petrol variants are the LXi, the LXi (O), the VXi Wind song edition, the VXi and the ZXi. The diesel variants are the LDi, the VDi Wind song edition, the VDi and the ZDi. All the variants have manual transmission.
